First Nebraska Title offers E-Recording
First Nebraska Title is pleased to announce our participation in Douglas County's new E-Recording process. E-Recording or E-Filing is the process of filing recordable documents electronically, in digital format, through the internet. The documents will appear at the county level for review and recordation and then submitted back to the user.
Several months back we were selected, along with other respective companies in our industry, to help decide on a vendor for E-Recording at the Register of Deeds Office in Douglas County. After reviewing several applications and vendors Douglas County selected a company named "Simplifile".
Simplifile offered an easy solution compared to other companies. A solution which is comprised of a very easy to use internet application, used by more than 340 counties in 27 states, along with the convenience of an around the clock customer service and technical support staff.
Our use of this process allows us to:
- Maximize our efficiency and tracking of documents
- Improve accuracy and reduce our gap coverage at policy time
- Streamline the recording of documents after close
- Enhanced document security
As we continue to strive for innovation and new technology in our industry locally and also within our company we applaud the efforts of Diane Battiato, Register of Deeds and Simplifile for allowing us to be one of the first to offer this service to our customers.
